Akane Misaki and Ken Hasama find themselves accidentally sharing a living space because of a landlord’s silly mistake. Even though they’re complete strangers, Akane takes it upon herself to look after Akane. Ken shows his appreciation by cooking meals for Akane when she comes home tired. Their conversations create a sense of comfort and connection that Akane has never felt before, not even with her own family. While Akane tries to hide her growing feeling, she realizes that an important meeting with a third party is scheduled for the next day. Desperate for a solution, Akane pretends that Ken is her uncle and asks him to come along. Though Ken initially doesn’t want to go, he sympathizes with Akane’s situation and agrees to lend a hand.
